Leading Rein presents…

A one day, in person workshop in Tasmania for women ready to notice what's really driving them.

You're running well by most measures across the board. But there are settings quietly running in the background you've built to keep everything moving, that you might not have checked in on for a while.

Most of them got you here. Some of them might need updating.

This day blends practical, personal and experiential learning, including hands on time with horses (no riding, no experience needed). You won't just talk about what you notice. You'll see it in real time, in yourself and by observing others too.

Because you can't always see it when you're always in it.

Looking for something more immersive? This is the entry point. The 3 Day Deep Dive takes the same work further, over three days away.

And if you've been looking for a place to start to notice, this is it.

What to expect from the day

You'll notice what you dial up when things get unfamiliar, when you're not in control, or when you're trying to get things right. Not just the personality, but the patterns driving your decisions, what's costing you, and how you adapt to stress and to pressure.

A collection of logos representing various organizations, including National Joblink, TASCOR, NAÏCHA Hair & Beauty, Waratah Wynyard Council, Psychology Caffe, Bishop Constructions, PowerLinesTas, Tasmanian Women in Agriculture, AgriFutures Rural Women's Award, and Cape Country Rural.

You'll step out of your normal roles for a day and get a clearer read on what's actually running on default in the background.

Most women leave saying "This makes so much sense now." And they've built language for it, not just a feeling.

You'll notice what you dial up when things get unfamiliar, when you're not in control, or when you're trying to get things right. Not just the personality, but the patterns driving your decisions, what it's costing you, and how you adapt to stress and pressure.

Part of the day involves working with horses from the ground. Horses give feedback to behaviour fast, not titles, good intentions or explanations. So instead of just noting how you handle things, you get to see it happening in real time.

What's got you here might not be what gets you to where you want to go next.

This isn't another professional development day. It's a chance to look at the person behind the performance, start spotting the patterns that have been driving you, and work out what still serves you and what needs updating.

I’m Melissa Duniam, founder of Leading Rein and 2023 Tasmanian winner of the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award for this project.

I married into a third-generation dairy farm and spent more than 20 years juggling business, family, and rural life. That season taught me a lot about responsibility, pressure, and the patterns we build to keep everything moving, even when the cost starts creeping up.

In 2016, a serious farm accident forced a reset I wasn’t prepared for. It became a turning point because I could see how easy it is to live on default settings unconsciously operating, just to get by.

Now I work with women who have reached a crossroad and want a new way forward that doesn’t come at the cost of energy, wellbeing, or sense of self.

This isn't another thing to add to the list. It's a day to stop, look at what's actually been driving you, and get clear on whether it's still working for you. This is personal and professional development through a self-leadership lens.

What are others saying about the workshops?

“I would strongly recommend this unique experience to all, from individuals, teams and to business leaders.  It’s an opportunity to invest in yourself and others, to take time out and build confidence, resilience and leadership skills, all while shedding hang-ups and having fun.”

Emma - People, Operations & Business Partner

This was the first leadership space that felt less about adding more hard skills and more about coming back to myself. I felt supported, and left with practical strategies I’m now using with my team. A powerful reminder that leading well starts with backing yourself first.
