Women gathered indoors, with one woman standing near a blackboard sign that reads 'Herds to Horses Are What Teams Are To People', holding some plants and smiling at the group.

A few times a year, I open the stable doors and invite a small group of women from across Tasmania to come together for a unique and personal approach to professional development..

It’s a full-day experience (9:30am – 4:00pm) For women in business, leadership, and professional roles who carry a lot for their work, their teams, and the people who rely on them.

This day is fully dedicated to you. It’s a chance to step out of the daily obligations and constant doing, and to reflect on what’s working, what’s not, and what could be refined to create a more tailored way to live, lead and serve others.

A practical, hands-on experience that blends reflection, feedback, and conversation leaving you with new insights about yourself, about others and performance sustainability.

What to Expect

  • Explore

    See yourself more clearly
Start by recognising the patterns that shape how you lead, communicate, and make decisions. Through behavioural insights, personal profiling, and self-leadership tools, you’ll gain fresh perspective on your habits, strengths, and blind spots the things that quietly drive how you show up every day.

  • Experience

    Learning through doing
In the arena, you’ll take part in practical, team-based activities with horses that reveal how you respond under pressure, relate to others, and navigate uncertainty. You’ll see in real time the strategies you lean on, the habits that deplete you, and the drivers that keep you moving. This is where awareness becomes insight.

  • Integrate

Lead in a way that feels you
You’ll leave with grounded confidence, clear direction, and a leadership approach that feels authentic to you. It’s about taking what you’ve discovered and turning it into practical tools you can use every day, so you can lead and live in a way that’s both effective, sustainable and true to you.

Who This Day Is For.

You don’t need a title for others to rely on you. You’re the one people turn to, carrying high level of responsibility in your work, your team, or your business.

And you don’t need to be a horse person to get value from this day. The horses work alongside you as teammates and teachers, offering instant feedback that reflects the same challenges and dynamics we face in everyday life.

This day offers the time and space to pause, step back from the daily demands and look at how you lead yourself and others from all aspects.

Join forces with women facing similar challenges, ready to have honest conversations about sustainable performance, leadership, and growth for women in many roles, many levels and different industries.

If you’re curious to understand what’s working, what’s not, and what might need an update, this day is an excellent place to start.

This Sounds Like Me
  • If you lead a team or manage professional development budgets, consider sponsoring a staff member to attend. It’s a powerful way to prioritise your staff, invest in wellbeing, insight, and soft skills that help people do hard things benefiting your entire organisation.
